“No Heroics, please” is a collection of miniatures for accordion and electric guitar. Each miniature revolves around one specific musical situation, each tries to establish a fragile, fugacious relationship between the two instruments. Often not much happens in the short life span of each episode and the musical discourse tends to vanish as soon as some direction seems to be building up. It owes a lot to Raymond Carver's literature.
